The highest ghost cloud count that I checked was 99 ... although I'm told that there were times the count exceeded 100 ghosts! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to watch the fun and get in the running for one of our great door prizes! Medley was our big winner of the Dragon Head (engraved: MAD_Special_Prize_3/97) along with three green/gold chests (one filled with a full set of rare head paints and another filled with a full set of rare body paints). Congrats Medley! Misty was the big winner of our Door Prizes -- the grand prize was a 2-room turf, rent paid thru June 7, complete with a fire in the fireplace, flowers on the mantle and on either side of the fireplace, a Romance Chest, and three green/gold chests filled with one each of every color of Turf Spray Paint! And that wasn't all! Brains and I had budgeted 20K tokens for the dealing session ... nobody took our tokens. So, for this grand prize we threw in another prize consisting of 10,000 tokens! Now ... there is one thing else that I'd like to mention. Ordinarily, I don't listen to rumors and gossip. I don't give them the time of day, actually; I despise that kind of thing. However, as I was ghosting around Phantasus trying to stay one step ahead of everyone who was out looking for MAD chests, I happened upon a locale where two avatars were discussing MAD. I understand that there are people in the world who suspect corruption in everything that any other person does. However, I would like to kill this rumor here and now. The rumor was that all the winners of the MAD chests had been *pre-determined* ... that Brains and I somehow arranged to make sure that the winners of the chests got them before hand. I would like to assure all of you reading this (and hope that you will take it inworld with you to mention if and when the subject comes up) that this was NOT the case at all. Every single one of the 20 chests were hidden in a locale with the effort to put them down when there was no one there and that was *NOT* easy. There are many who can attest to seeing us put a chest down, and, when a ghost entered, pick it back up, ghost and find somewhere else. Brains and I both put a lot of effort into MAD ... you can see that, I'm sure, just by the quality of the prizes. This event cost us an enormous amount of tokens (just that main prize turf alone cost about 3800T *excluding* the 10K we threw in at the end of MAD). We both were inworld early this morning ... I arrived about 7:30 a.m. WAT, Brains had already been there. Neither of us left until close to 3:00 p.m. WAT because that is how much *actual* time this event takes to just hide chests, host and be there early enough to answer questions. We would hardly sabotage all our time, efforts and tokens just to pre-determine the winners. Enough said. Thanks to all of our players and all of our spectators for making this event as much fun to host as it is to play!
