WHAT IS IT?
Babylon 5 Magazine was the Warner Bros. officially licensed publication on all things Babylonian published by Titan Magazines, carrying news on new telemovies, The Babylon Project: Crusade series, merchandise, B5 gaming and more. It featured exclusive set reports, photographs and interviews, production features and special columns by Babylonian personnel, including the Great Maker himself, J. Michael Straczynski.

Babylon 5 Magazine
was licensed for sale in the United Kingdom, Eire, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Nine issues of Volume One were published for the UK and Eire. It was edited by John Freeman and then Brian J. Robb.
The title was published until Issue 24 (Volume Two), when its license period with Warner Bros. ended, in May 2000.
Titan Magazines confirmed 2 March 2000 that Babylon 5 Magazine would cease publication with Issue 24, a double-sized issue. The closure reflected a drop in sales since the series completed its five-year run, resulting in the reluctant decision not to renew the license for the title with Warner Bros. as the licensing period reached its end.
"Since the show came off air sales have declined and this makes its continuation economically difficult," commented then editor Brian J. Robb. "We're sorry to have to wind down the magazine. However, all those who worked on the title are proud to have been associated with one of the best magazines based on a TV show. I'd like to thank all our readers and Babylon 5 fans for their support and contributions during the life of the magazine."
Titan published 34 issues of the magazine by the end of its run, beginning with a special comprising material originally published in the United States. The regular run featured completely originated material including interviews, background features, episode guides and more. Nine issues of the first volume were published in the UK and Eire alone before the second volume was given North American and Australasian distribution. In the last few issues Titan continued to publish new material within the title including the official Babylon 5 chronology -- a complete timeline to the series -- and new Babylon 5 fiction in the last three issues from J. Michael Straczynski (#22), J. Gregory Keyes and Fiona Avery.

WHERE CAN I BUY A COPY?

Babylon 5 Magazine was officially licensed for general and subscription sale in the UK, Eire, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
In the UK you could buy copies at any high street newsagent and specialist comic shop, including WH Smiths. Some comic shops may carry back issues.
The Official Babylon 5 Fan Club carried just about all of the magazine on sale via its web site Ð even the latest issues. There is a list of issues available in The Emporium, and newer issues with pricing can be found in ISN and the Gold Channel. As of October 2000 the club had become snarled up in the closure of Netter Digital and no orders for B5 merchandise were being taken.
