Cartoonist and Comics Artist Links
This is a document in progress. If you have a comics artist-dediciated site I would be happy to include it as this aspect of this site develops. E-mail: jfreeman@avaterra.com. Thanks for your information!
Exhibitions and Collections
The Cartoon Art Trust: Go
There is a large collection of comics as part of the Victoria & Albert museum collection: Go

Lettering Resources: You can draw as much as you want, but without words it ain't what I call a comic strip. (Well, OK, there are some exceptions to this). For the very best in comic book fonts I thoroughly recommend ComicBookFonts.com. This is partly because it is an excellent online resource and partly because without that company's president, Richard Starkings, I would probably not be sitting here writing this.

Sergio Aragones
Web: http://www.groo.com/
Creator of Groo and major MAD contributor.

J.K. Benton Design Studio

Eddie Campbell
Web: http://www.eddiecampbellcomics.com

In their own words: "Features up-to-date news on the publications of the company, the activities of the publisher, and the public houses that he favours, CampbellCom (as we like to call it) is your one-stop shop for Eddie Campbell news. And if a corporate supermarket opens up down the road temporarily undercutting our own value-packed information services, we'll be pleased to direct you to their premises with a terse notice on the door."
Eddie Campbell's website also has new info on the From Hell movie.
October 2000: In a new release on his site, the From Hell artist Eddie Campbell announced that Australian Customs has barred the acclaimed comic from further importation into the country.
Enquiries can be directed to webmonkey@eddiecampbellcomics.com

Nelson Castillo
Web: http://www.nelsoncomics.com/
Nelson Castillo is a Chilean artist whose works include KURT, The Master of Temple, a novel set in a very peculiar future (the Era of Capricorn) and past. He has also ventured in other graphic styles, such as clear line and superheroes drawing, but always returning to his own realist style, which he claims Ôsuits him betterÕ. He has participated in a couple of exhibitions in Chile and abroad. His work interrupted by constant travelling. He finally settled in Dominican Republic.

Gene Colan
Web: http://www.genecolan.com/

Colan's work on Daredevil and Night Force remain firmly stuck in my memory.

Michael T. Collins
Web: http://www.freakhousegraphics.co.uk

Mike's work includes many Dungeons and Dragons issues for DC, Doctor Who -- oh, TONS of stuff. And he writes too, the talented swine.

Howard Cruse
Web: http://www.howardcruse.com/
The cyberlair of Howard Cruse, a dewy-eyed preacher's kid from Alabama forced by fate and raw ambition to claw his way indecorously through the muck and mire of New York City's pulse-stoppingly brutal cartooning demi-monde.

In other words, it's a self-promotion gimmick, a venture into hobbyism, a vehicle for random bursts of creativity, and a way to say hi to people who've read Wendel, Barefootz, Stuck Rubber Baby, and my other work over the years.

Bob Eggleton
Web: http://www.bobeggleton.com/
Bob Eggleton is a successful science fiction, fantasy and landscape artist. Winner of five Hugo Awards and 10 Chesley Awards, his art can be seen on covers of magazines and books. He has also worked as a conceptual illustrator for movies and thrill rides. Of late, he has worked doing more private commissions and self commissioned work. He has been elected as a Fellow of The International Association for Astronomical Art (FIAAA).
His website was created to keep current information up to date in order to meet an ever increasing demand for information on the world of Bob Eggleton.

Henry Flint
2000AD-based artist, has drawn Judge Dredd on numerous occasions, co-creator of Sancho Panzer with Dan Abnett and responsible for an outrageously intense homage to Kevin O'Neil with his recent Nemesis the Warlock Book 10.

Described by fans as one of 2000Ad's best artists, Henry Flint doesn't yet have a dedicated web site but he did create artwork to 'Harry Heston' on the Class Of '79 website. Follow the link to: E-Zine 1: http://www.cybergoth.net/cybergoth/classof79/

Simon Fraser
Web: http://www.simonfraser.net/simonfraser/

Louise Gingras (the 'gin') and Luc Belanger
Web: http://www.gingerillustration.com/
Creators of Ginger Comics. Louise and Luc met in 1989, and married in 1990. They discovered they actually liked working together, especially creating comic strips including Ginger. They've sold illustrations in many different markets (books, magazines, newspapers, greeting cards, advertisingÉ). Their clients include the New Breed, Cardmakers, the Teaching & Learning Company, Crayola and Michelin. Louise also does live cartoon portraits at conventions, conferences, and special events, and for local businesses.
Paul Gulacy
Web: http://www.multimania.com/matt/
This superb artist's official web site, designed by a French fan.

Mark Harrison
Web: http://www.cybergoth.net/cybergoth/mausoleum/
Mark's stunning painted art can be found in the pages of 2000AD, although he was one of Paul Neary's 'finds' at Marvel UK: sadly, his Warheads strip never saw the light of day as far as I'm aware. 2000AD strips include the Glimmer Rats, written by Gordon Rennie.

Fellow artists Simon Fraser describes him as "a leading light in the the current migration of comics art from
traditional media to computer based creation methods. His 'Durham Red the Scarlet Cantos'( written by Dan Abnett ) is a must see for anyone even remotely interested in the possibilites of computer generated artwork.
More work on view at: http://www.cybergoth.net/cybergoth/bloodshrine/

Fred Hembeck
Web: http://www.bluemonkeycomics.com/

The man who destroyed the Marvel universe can be found via this link on the website of Blue Monkey comics. Fred Hembeck's work has appeared in his DATELINE!@!!!? comic strip which has run for many years in the pages of the Comics Buyer's Guide.

Creator of Deep Fried!"My vessel for spewing all the weird crap that comes into my head," he told Paul Dale Roberts, Publisher, Jazma Universe Online! "It has no other function than that, and provides no benefit at all to society. Primarily it is the home for "Beepo and Roadkill," a comic strip that I have developed and redeveloped since I was 12.
Readers: Let your dreams die, or else be prepared to become a 28 year old hack who 's still trying to turn a buck on something he concocted as a rip off of "Garfield". Besides being used to inflict "Beepo and Roadkill" on the world, it is also home to miscellaneous other strips and characters I've come up with.
"Basically I just want to make people laugh, but to make the laughs as unexpected as possible.
The site features Flash animations, a weekly Beepo and Roadkill strip "and other craperoo that I am just so gosh darn proud of!"
